We had an amazing Youth Sunday today. Our congregation gave $3,654.00 for our Youth Program. That is really amazing, we thank each of you so much for your support. It was an eventful day. I started feeling like I was getting sick on Saturday afternoon, and went to be like at 8:30, full of NyQuil. Woke up this morning not feeling very good at all, but knew that I was preaching this morning for Youth Sunday so I had no choice but to get up and go. I sat my laptop up this morning at Church in order to do the power point that I had prepared, I was kinda in a hurry I guess, I forgot to plug it in. So it sat there for over two hours running on just the battery. Right in the middle of my sermon and power point my lap top died, and the screen went black. I could not imagine what had happened. Luckily it was right before I was introducing the teens on the stage, so while introducing them I dug out the cord, plugged in the lap top and got the power point going again. Talk about multi tasking. I didn't panic too bad. I had some notes that I could have finished by, but not many. I was really relying on the power point to remind me of the things that I wanted to say. After it was all over, we went to pot luck, I came home and went to bed for a while. Then got up for our Super Bowl party. Had the AIM kids over and the youth group. I am now running out of steam and feel the sickness coming back on. So I think I will get to bed and call it a day.
Thank you to everyone that helped support our youth today. We love you and I pray blessings for each of you.
