I have been on a diet for about 3 weeks now. I have lost about 7 pounds in the 3 weeks. Cheryl and I a doing this together. We are trying to watch what we eat and I have cut out ALL soft drinks and candy. If you know me at all you know that Reese's are my absolute favorite of all time. I have not had a Reese's in over 3 weeks, or a DR. Pepper. There is nothing better in this world than a Reese's and a DR. Pepper, but I have given them both up. We have also started walking at night or late afternoon.
Several weeks ago we ordered a new washer and dryer. We have had our washer since we were married, 20 years, it was a good one but it was time to go. It was not draining all the water out, and really started to not wash our clothes very well. So we decided after much debate and shopping that we would buy the high energy washer and dryer. They are really cool. Anyway last Sunday night I was doing some laundry, (yes I was doing laundry) I felt something in Dylan's pants pocket, I reached inside and pulled out a REESE'S. It was about 10:00pm, everyone was in bed I thought, "no one would know if I just had one." but I did not do it. I put it down and went to bed. It felt really good to be tempted and pass the test. I thank God for the strength.
Kyla's team plays Dimmitt here Monday night. They played in Muleshoe last Monday night. They won, but looked a little off. They have been looking forward to playing Dimmitt again. It will be a good game. Kyla hit another NBA 3 pointer in Muleshoe Monday night, it looked really good. He proud father was trying to take pictures in the stands, but our camera doe's not work very good. Maybe some pictures of the Dimmitt game this week with another camera.
Dylan is our picky eater. Today we were in Amarillo and the school called saying that Dylan was not very happy. He usually takes his lunch with him, which I really can not blame him because I have seen and tasted the school food and BLAH! But he saw on the menu that they were having chicken nuggets, which is his favorite, so he did not take his lunch. Our school decided to change the menu and not inform anyone at the last minute, and have steak fingers, which he can not stand, ( again I can not blame him for) We were in Amarillo and could not bring him lunch. After he got home I asked what he ate, and he said that the school gave him peanut butter crackers. If you have not heard, there is a recall on a lot of peanut butter crackers. Immediately his sister said "they probably had poison in them." Cheryl and I talked him down and he is OK with it and no longer thinks he is going to die. From now on he takes his lunch EVERY day regardless of what the menu says.
