Weekend

We had a great weekend. Kyla played in the championship game at the Bushland tournament. The team really played great. They beat Bushland and won the tournament. Kyla hit what I called an NBA 3. It was cool. She makes me so proud. We play at Friona tonight, and then the Tulia tournament this weekend. We love to watch her and her team play.

Bruce had a really great lesson on Sunday. It really made me think about things in my life. He talked about the joy that we have, and how we can let things or PEOPLE steal that joy. Cheryl and I were talking about how we let this happen, we let too many things and people steal our joy. Thanks to Bruce for the great lesson. We had an LTC meeting with parents after church and we have such great support. Thanks to all of you for your help and your encouragement and support. LTC is a great opportunity for our young people to learn about God and to learn to do things that will help the church as they grow older. We have several boys signed up for song leading, our church always needs song leaders. Also we have several singed up for teaching. They will go into a class for 4 weeks and help the teachers prepare lessons and present those lessons. The church will benefit from this in the future. These kids are learning how to prepare a lesson and how to present it.

Then last night at blue box for our very young kids, I broke a water balloon over my head in the lesson. It was about making wise choices, and even when we are young we must learn to make wise choices. I got really wet, but hopefully they will remember it when they have to make a choice in their lives.

The week looks busy as always. Hope that everyone has a great week. I look forward to the week, and what God has in store for me. I know that he is going to bring blessings as always.
