Things have been really busy for us the last couple of weeks. I have not had much time to read many blogs or post anything. Our office is just about done, I spent last night and part of today texturing the walls and ceiling. Then painting the ceiling as well. Cheryl helped do both or I would still be trying to finish. I hope to paint the walls tomorrow. We are going to pick out some carpet today, and hope that it can get laid early next week and we can move in. We can then have our sun room back, not for long though because I am going to start redoing it soon after the office is done. Need to do some more ceiling work, and pull old carpet out.
Kyla's first basketball game is Monday, we play Friona and it is here in town. I love to watch her play basketball, I liked the volleyball OK, but basketball is my favorite.
I preached last Sunday night. It was kinda fun. I talked about loving the Unloveable our scripture was John chapter 4. I had a picture of a person that I went to high school with on a bulletin board in front of everyone. Towards the end I talked about how this person was a bully and had done a lot of mean things to me in high school, he was a Senior and I was a Freshman. I talked about how he was unloveable to me, and I wanted to get even with him. So I took out some darts and started throwing them at his picture. Each time I threw a dart, I would name off something that he had done to me some 25 years ago, like stuffing me in a trash can, my mother the next day after hearing all that this person had done to her sweet baby thought that he was unloveable as well. Anyway, after throwing many darts at him, and I think really freaking some people out, I took down his picture and behind his picture was a picture of Jesus. The point was, that what we do to others we also do to Jesus, of course Jesus had just as many holes in his picture as my old high school friend's did. Anyway it was kinda fun, and a lesson that I certainly need.
