We took 12 kids to Borger to TCC on Saturday. The theme this year was Deal Or No Deal. We had two really good speakers that spoke about decisions that we make in our lives. One of the speakers told the group "our generation really needs YOUR generation to get this," meaning how important it is to put God first in our lives and how when we make decisions we must include God in those decisions. An actually game of Deal Or No Deal was played. The contestant gave up things in his life to try to attain fame and fortune. Some of the things on the board he gave up was, Hope, Love, Kindness etc.. He gave up what was in the last case for many worldly things, the last case had his Soul in it. It was really eye opening for all of us. We ate at Borger after the youth rally was over and then stayed around for a while to get to know some of the other people that was there. It was a good trip for all of us.
Have been really enjoying the Olympics. Micheal Phelps is just awesome. Have not seen the US men's basketball team yet, they have been winning though. I heard an interesting story about the US women's basketball team. I have not been able to find the story, but I was told that two of the women on the team did not play on Sunday morning. They told their coach that they were going to church instead. That is cool, a lot of faith. Do I have that kind of faith??
