Our little track star
District track meet was in Dimmitt on Saturday. Our 8Th grade girls placed 2ND in district. We were only 6 points out of 1st. Childress won the district. Our sprint relay team would have won, but got disqualified on the last exchange, they were out of the zone and they were right there to win it. The above picture is our 800 relay. Kristen Adams handing off to Kyla. We were in 3rd place when Kyla got the stick, when she handed off to the last runner we were in 1st. She ran them down, we were so proud of her and all of the girls, they did great!

Kyla and the long jump. She also did the triple jump. There was a girl from Childress that jumped 34 feet 3 inches, in the triple jump. That is amazing for an 8Th grader. Her mom told me that if she was in high school she would be 5Th in the state. Kyla did well in the triple jump, she jumped 26 feet 5 inches.
