Mp 3 Player

I have always thought of myself as a close to electronic super hero, I mean I worked for the cable TV company for years and could fix anything that had wires attached to it or needed programing. I was really good with electronics, couldn't get it to work, call Matt, he does not even have to read the instructions. Well I have sat by and let the electronic world pass me by, I have meet my match in the MP3 player, at least this particular one anyway.
Kyla got some birthday money from her Grandparents and we chipped in some as well, so she could get a MP3 player. She brings it home and being a lot like her dad, decided not to read the instructions and plug the MP3 player into the computer before down loading the disk. Even though there was a huge sticker on the box that said "DO NOT PLUG MP3 PLAYER INTO COMPUTER BEFORE DOWNLOADING DISK!!!!!" It should have had a "HEY KID, AND DAD WHO THINKS THEY KNOW EVERYTHING," sticker on it to get our attention. Well after loading the disk, the computer would not respond to the MP3 Player. Not knowing what was going on,we called Cheryl's brother who truly is a computer whiz, to help. We spent 4 hours, yes 4 hours, getting it all fixed.
Finally after we got some songs downloaded onto the MP3 play, we went to eat out. Kyla bee bopping to the tunes and all, it was working great. Until dad put his hands on it, listened to one song and it froze up and would do nothing. So on Wednesday we took it back and got another one. This one seemed to work really great, computer recognized it and everything, songs downloaded just fine, and Kyla was back to "bee bopping" to her tunes. Until Dad touched it, listened to one song and it went "KUPLUT" translation= won't work, can't get music to play, can't get off of weird menu screen, and won't tell us why.
So this week when we take this one back, Dad will not be allowed to touch the MP3 player. I do think we are going to get another brand though. Well thought that you would get a laugh out of my electronic incompetence.

Thanks for everyone voting on the "Super Hero" poll. It was a tie up till the last minute, and since this is my blog, I got to break the tie. The winner is "Scooby Doo." Greatest Super Hero of his time. I now have a new poll, "Greatest Super Hero of the Bible." Hope that all of you are glad to be back to school, have a great week and we will see you on Wednesday night.

Good to know that I am not the only one who CONQUERS electronics with this method. I also just got an MP3 player. I wasted an entire day trying to figure it all out. I must say that I have fought the good fight and won the race. It has about 40 songs and 6 sermons on it. I had to finally have some high school students come give me all of the good scoop about sites and songs. Of course, they did not know much about contemparary christian music. I finally just let them show me what they knew and I feel very cool, now.
