Oreo Cookies

I love Oreo cookies, my son does as well. The way that you have to eat an Oreo is to tear the ends off and get to the inside to get to the good stuff. The other day Cheryl brought a package of Oreo's home from the store, me and Dylan were really excited. As i grabbed my first cookie and tore off the ends to get to the good stuff, i noticed something different. I cry ed out to Cheryl, why did you get single stuffed, double stuffed is the only way to go. She replied that they were double stuffed, as i looked at the package i saw that it was true "Double stuffed" right there on the box.
How the world has changed, when double stuffed first came out WOW there was a lot of stuffing. Now, at least at our store the "double stuffed " is more like "single and 1/4 stuffed." Any way i was really disappointed.

This really got me to thinking later though. A few months ago i was really struggling with my Faith. I was really worried about some things that i had no control over. I wonder am i a Christian that is "Double stuffed" with faith, or is my stuffing more like single stuffed or no stuffing at all. I don't want God to be disappointed when he looks inside me and finds only single stuffing or no stuffing of faith. After a few days of praying and finally turning things over to God, my situation that i was so worried about turned out just fine. God took care of me again. I guess maybe we start out with "single stuffing" of faith and as we trust God more and we see him work in our lives more, we turn that "single stuffing" into "Double stuffing" of faith.

We have been working with our youth group for the last couple of months. I see a lot of faith being built in all of you guys, and i am proud of you. Be praying for our search for a youth minister and praying for our committee and our Church. We will as usual be having class tonight and Sunday morning. Tonight we will talk about Sacrifice and how we do that today in our lives. Sunday we will continue to talk about temptations in our lives and talk about having the since of presence of God. The AIM kids will be with us and we will hopefully go do some more work in the community and visit some more people. This last Sunday we went to the nursing home with the AIM kids and then went and helped one of our elderly ladies. We pulled weeds and trimmed trees for her. It was an awesome day and i know that you all enjoyed it. This is what Church is about, helping others. So if you missed going with us Sunday, make sure to make it this Sunday!!

Love the new blog. I just want to know did you send the young kids up to trim those trees?
Keep blogging...

Lucky for me, all of the tree trimming we were able to do from safely on the ground, small trees. When she told us she needed some trees trimmed Kyla looked at me and said "No Dad you can't do it" My daughter has lost all confidence in me since i fell out of our tree.

I would have never thought of that!
Well I want to say thanks so much for being there and really putting your heart in to all this youth stuff!

Your lesson tonight about sacrifice was really good, you got your point across it really made since… to me anyways!
