I have never been an early morning person. Our daughter started 7th grade this year and is in athletics. Volleyball is the first sport that she has for this year. She has practice at 6:00AM, yes you read it right 6:00AM. I have always been a person that if i had to be at work, when i had a real job, at 8:00am i could get up at 7:50 and be in the shower, dressed and on time to work. My world has changed!! 7th grade has changed us all!! Cheryl and I have been kidding around this week about Kyla not really being ours, because she has been getting up at 5:00AM every morning this week. She is really excited about school or at least about athletics, not sure which one. So we are all early birds at our house now, well except for Dylan he gets to sleep in till about 7:00. I must say though that this morning i did get to sleep in because my wonderful wife got up with Kyla and took her for me. Thank you to my sweet wife!!
The first few days of all of this i was like, i can not take this all year, but then i thought this may be Gods way of stretching me a little. He knows that i need to get out of bed earlier, so i have tried the last few days to look positive at this and give God the glory for showing me that there is a lot you can get done in the mornings if you get out of bed!!
I thought that we had a really good class last night, and i want to thank Joda for the comments she left. We talked about sacrifice and how we can do that today. We read scriptures from Hebrews 13: 15. We talked about how telling others about what God has done in our lives is a way that we make sacrifices to him, and how we can teach others about God through what he has done in our lives. I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments in class, you guys really make it easy to teach.
Some of you were wondering about Sunday mornings lesson and where we will be studying. We will continue to talk about the temptations that we face and also about having a "since of presence." We will be in 1 Peter 4:12-16, if you want to read that before you come to class.
On the subject of sacrifice and telling others about the things that God has blessed us with, tomorrow i will post something about my life and something that God has truly blessed me with, that many of you may not know about. It will be fun and i look forward to it, hopefully i will have some pictures as well, if i can figure out how to do that.
