New Years Eve

New Years Eve 2008. Not much going on tonight at the Howell House. We went to Church, not many people were there, we just had a short devo. Kyla is at a Friends house and Dylan has a friend over for the night. I got a new lap top for Christmas and have been downloading some stuff on it that I need. Exciting new years eve. Really I would have it no other way, I don't party much any more anyway.

I also have been writing in my journal. I started a journal about three years ago. I started it so that the kids would someday be able to read what was going on in our lives, and try to maybe explain some of the things and choices that we make, and also let them know how I was feeling at certain times in my life. This is a great outlet for me. I hope that they enjoy it someday. I know that someday they will understand. I also write prayers in the journal as well. Tonight I was looking back at some of the entries over the past 3 years. It is amazing to see the prayers that I prayed and then seeing them answered. God has been good to me. He has blessed me so much. The greatest blessings in my life is my family. My wife and my children. I love the relationship that Cheryl and I have. There are no secrets, she tells me everything and I tell her everything, we communicate really well. We make decisions together. God has truly blessed me with her. Kyla and Dylan are my other blessings, they are the light of my life. They are just growing up too fast.

2008 has been a great year for us. We have been blessed very much. We look forward to a great 2009, (some things just won't go away), but that's OK, God is good! We thank him for all that he has done for us and give him the glory for it. I don't know if I have any New Years Resolutions or not. Have really not even thought about it. If I made one, it would be that I stay in God's will for my life and that I grow closer to him in 2009. I probably need to lose weight and get into better shape, well I've got about 30min. to think about that one:) Hope that your 2009 is a great one as well.
