Integrity

What is integrity? I think I am still learning. Although I have learned a lot about this word over the last two years. I have heard, and said phrases like " I am going to do what I think is right." The key word in this phrase is the word "I". I have learned that there is a difference. I am learning that integrity is "doing what is right." not just "what I think is right." In my profession and the people that I deal with everyday, it is very important that I do "what is right." I must confess that over the last two years, I was being lead to a place that, I could have lost my integrity, and I thank God that he opened my eyes to so many things. As I live my life and as I deal with people I want to keep my integrity in tact no matter the cost. This post may not make a whole lot of sense to some, but it does to me, and if you have ever been in a situation where you think your integrity is being challenged, stop and get out. God will bless you for it, he has me, a million times over. It's funny in our Wednesday night class the subject of Lying came up in our conversation. I was told a about a year ago by someone that I thought I had a lot of respect for that, "if you don't tell the whole truth, that is not really lying." When I asked the youth Wednesday night they knew the correct answer, lying is lying and not telling the whole truth is lying. We talked about how always telling the truth no matter what, helps keep our integrity in tact. Thank you youth group for your wonderful knowledge.

There has been a lot of people ask us about our business, since we have went out on our own again. We thank each of you for your concerns and for your prayers. Let me tell you that God has truly blessed us. It is amazing what God will bring to you, when you are doing his will. We have been blessed that we are able to do very well in our business and spend time working with our youth and with the church. I tell you God is awesome, he has taken us on a great journey and has blessed us all the way. Thank you God!

Our Senior Banquet is coming up next week. We will honor all those Seniors that have ever attended our church. It is amazing the love that this congregation has. We want to send these Seniors off with Love and Encouragement. They will each receive a Bible with their names on it. Our prayer is that these Seniors use this Bible when they get out on their own, to grow closer to God, and to use it to guide them through life. Good luck Seniors, we are proud of you. Thank you Central church of Christ for our love and willingness to serve others.

I am preaching this Sunday, wow will I be glad when Bruce gets here. I really do enjoy doing it, I just hope that my lessons that I prepare for our congregation inspires all who hear to have a closer relationship with God. My sermon this Sunday will be "A contagious community." I hope that everyone enjoys. Thanks to Toby Brown for his wonderful lessons as well, we have been preaching every other week, and Toby does a great job. I think I might be rambling, now so I will close. Trey Morgan says, blogs should not be too long.
