Day after Christmas

So Christmas is over, its the day after what do I do? For most its back to work, back to the job, so that we can try and pay for our Christmas. That does not start till tomorrow for me, we decided to take an extra day this year to rest from all the Christmas rush. We had a great one by the way. Our first Christmas in our new house, it was good. Cheryl got me an Mp3 player, so Kyla can have hers back. Today I am at the Church, preparing some lessons for the next week and going to find some time today to spend some alone time with God. I have a lot on my mind and a lot to pray about for the next year. Cheryl and the Kids are gone to Amarillo to do some shopping with Christmas money that they got.
So what to do the day after Christmas, I know what I am going to do for a while, how about you. Our youth is out of school till about the 8Th of January, time to sleep late and not have to worry about homework. I found a list on the Internet of things to do the day after Christmas, thought they were interesting, so I will share them with you.
  1. Read the Manual: your kidding right, I never read owner manuals!
  2. Put the toys together that read "Some assembly required": Yeah right define "some"
  3. Stay clear of malls: Unless you are a glutton for punishment, do not go to the mall. The day after Christmas is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year, with all of the returns. The parking lots will be jammed and lines will be long."Good luck Cheryl"
  4. Head straight for the Mall: Great bargains today, some Christmas merchandise is half off. (please read #3 before preceding)
  5. Let your fingers do the walking: Sit down behind that NEW (or old) trusted computer and cruise the web for after Christmas sales. No lines, No parking lots:
  6. Get creative with recipes: Don't know what to do with the left over turkey ? Mix it with a bunch of other stuff and call it a casserole!!
  7. Celebrate Boxing Day: Didn't get enough holiday, Boxing day is a holiday celebrated in Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand the day after Christmas.
  8. Take down the decorations: The day after Christmas is a great day to take down the tree and Christmas lights, I will probably keep my lights for a few more days.
  9. Relax: Enjoy the feeling that the rush is over, sit on the couch with your new book (or owners manual) and enjoy. Use some of that fragrant bubble bath crystals you got and bask in a hot bath.
  10. Be Reminded: Jesus came as a brother to break down the walls that cut us off from our Father, from each other, and from what is best in us.

So there you go, 10 things you can do today. Have fun and enjoy the day.
