How big are our storms??

We had a little bit of a scare in Tulia Friday afternoon. This cloud came up and the news and scanners were saying that there was a lot of rotation in it, and it was headed straight for Tulia. I think that a lot of people thought, "here we go again." Luckly the cloud went to the south of us and never did to my knowledge produce a tornado. After we knew that it was going south Kyla and I went down our road and took some pictures. I was really an awesome looking cloud.

This was a really big storm and really scary looking. After it went around us and all was good, i was thinking about some of the storms that come up in our lives. We are faced a lot of times with things that seem so "BIG" that we don't know how we are going to handle them. I can remember times when i have prayed to God telling him how big my problem was or how big my storm was. I remember a saying that holds true, I need to stop telling God how big my storms are, and start telling my storms how big my God is! God has gotten me through so many things in my life and today i want to thank him for that, God you are awesome!!!

Our youth group has a lot going on this week and i am really excited about this weekend. Lets all remember that Kyla and Kristen have their first volleyball game today at 5:00 at the Dallas street gym. I know that they are excited and can't wait!! Also remember that Phillip has a football game Thursday, and Jake, Teddy, and Lori will be playing in the band of Friday night.

Remember as well that we will have another youth minister here trying out as well. He will be here for the football game on Friday night. Then on Sat. night we will have everyone over at our house for hot dogs, be sure to let you parents know that they are invited as well. Then on Sunday after Pot luck we will go out to Kenneth's to chop wood for the Amarillo Children's Home. After chopping wood we will go out to the lake with Donald and Jeff. We will have a devotional that night and have you back home by 8:30 or 9:00. You might want to bring some clothes to change into after pot luck so that we can get out to Kenneth's as soon as we can. After Church on Sunday the 23rd we will deliver the wood to the Children's home. I really want everyone to go on this trip with us to see the Children's home, it will be an awesome experience for all of us. So mark you calendars.

I want to thank all of you in our youth group for the support that you guys have given me and Cheryl since we have been working with you. You are a really great group and we have enjoyed it. I want to ask that you all be praying for our group. The time is coming when we will make a huge decision for all of us, pray that God will lead our Elders, our youth committee and Cheryl and I as we all have big decisions to make.
