Can Cun

We have another busy weekend this weekend. Kyla plays b-ball Saturday, first game is at 9:00am. I am preaching Sunday morning and then we have our church picnic Sunday afternoon at Quitaque. Monday we have a busy day with some appointments and then Tuesday Cheryl and I leave for Can Cun baby!! We will be gone most of the week coming home on Saturday night. I won this trip with one of the insurance companies that I represent. They are paying for Cheryl and I to go, our only cost will be any shopping that we do. It is really exciting, although I do not like to fly, so I will have my Dramamine with me to take before I get on the plane Tuesday morning to knock me out. We fly from Amarillo to Dallas and then to Can Cun. We are looking forward to it all. Please be praying for our safe trip and also for our kids. They will be staying with Cheryl's parents part of the week and then my parent's for the last part of the week. I will try to post some pictures from our trip when we get back.

I am preaching Sunday morning on "Coming face to face with Jesus." We will look at someone in the bible that came "face to face with Jesus." and ask the question "What must I do to have eternal life?" We will look at Jesus response and also look at the rich young rulers response to what Jesus had to say to him. Our text will be Matthew 19: 16-26. I will also talk about a "Pig and a Chicken." What do they have to do with Matthew 19 and the rich man and Jesus. Well you will just have to show up and find out. I know that our congregation is probably thinking, "we really need to get Bruce here quick." Hope that all of you have a great weekend and a great week next week.
