Prayers

It has been announced several times at church about Brad West having surgery this weekend. Brad had some cancer that they were going to try to take our of his stomach. The doctors were really upbeat about the surgery and about being able to get all of the cancer. Unfortuantley Brad did not make it through the surgery and died yesterday afternoon. Brad's brother Brian West is one of my best friends and was in Houston with Brad and his wife, where the surgery was done. I ask for the prayers for my friend and his family, they are really in shock and devestated about all of this. Brian is trying to get home to be with the rest of the family and was hopeful last night about getting a flight out to Amarillo today.

There are so many things in our lives right now that we think are so important and so many things that we worry about, that we really have no control over. We must enjoy and love our family now and put all of our worries and other things aside. We never know what the future holds. I pray that God opens my eyes to my true blessings.
