Teenager

It happened today! I have been dreading this day for 13 years! She's a TEENAGER!!!!! What are we going to do? Can anyone help us? Kyla Jean Howell turned 13 today, the 5Th of November. It is amazing how the time has just flown by. Seems like just yesterday that she was starting school, now she is in JR. High and a TEENAGER!! I hope that we will survive.
Here she is with some of her friends Friday night. Cheryl took them shopping and to the movies, I stayed home, it was only for girls. I knew that this day was coming. There have been signs of it for about a year now. We have two bathrooms in our house, one is the girls and one is the boys. I don't go into the girls bathroom much, I am scared too. There are things in there that I have no idea what they are and things in there that I just do not understand. There are at least two things that stay on the counter most of the time, that have electrical cords on them. I am told that one is for straightening your hair and one is for curling your hair, so what kind of sense does that make? There are other things in that bathroom that I am afraid to even ask about. I am afraid that now that we have a TEENAGER in the house, there maybe more strange things show up in that bathroom.

Here she is with her birthday present from mom and dad, a digital camera. She has taken a picture of just about everything the last couple of days. We gave her the camera on Friday, so she could use it when she went out with her friends. My parents sent her money, and she is trying to save up for a MP3 player or an Ipod. If any of you have any advice for us on how to raise a TEENAGER, please feel free to post that advice here. You can check out Kyla's new blog at http://www.froggyliveshere.blogspot.com
