Thanks to a great idea that Joda posted on Jake's blog http://www.unyeildingfaith.blogspot.com/ I have challenged Jake to post the things that make him happy. He did a great post about his concerns and he gave those concerns to God, now i want to have us post things that make us happy. I have also challenged the Culwell crew at http://www.theculwellcrew.blogspot.com/ to do the same. I think that the more experienced bloogers call this being tagged. I hope that this helps us all to focus on the things that we are blessed with and the good things in our lives. Feel free for any of you that read this, to list things that make you happy as well in the comment section. I am going to list things that I really get a lot of joy out of and things that just make me smile. So here we go, have fun with it!- God

- Any time that my race team scores more fantasy points than Trey Morgan's

- watching old home movies
- Going back to where i grew up
- going to our farm west of Dimmitt
- a Field of corn when its about waist high
- sleeping late on a Sat. morning (don't get this much anymore)
- the smell of a fire place in the winter time
- seeing our youth group grow closer together
- seeing the love that my kids have for God
- Sunday dinner at the table with my family (any dinner with my family, but Sundays have always been a special time to sit at the family table and eat)
- Knowing that there is nothing that i can do, that will make God stop loving me!
- Having my family together with me in Church
- My wives heart
- My sons heart
- My daughters ability and love for others
So there they are, the things that make me over flow with happiness and the things that just make me smile every day. This list could go, on and on. I have noticed something about this list, that i think all of our list's will have in common when we compare it to the things that concern us. My list of things that make me happy are a lot longer than the list of concerns that i have. Wow i am blessed. Thank you Jake and Joda for the inspiration to do this post, has really made me feel good. Now i want to see Jake and the Culwells lists as well as anyone else's list. So if you have things that make you happy list them here in the comment section.
There will be no Friday lunch this week due to school getting out early, so we will see all of you on Sunday, its potluck so make plans to stay and eat with us! See you there, and have a great weekend!!!
Kyla just got home from the football game and she said that A.J. Hernandez got hurt and had to be taken to the hospital in Dimmitt. Lets remember him in our prayers.

Things that delight me!
1. New revalations when reading God's word.
2. Seeing Joda or anyone for that matter grow in faith, and it really delights me to see someone step out in faith.
3. Hearing descriptions of my Grandchildren's drawings.
4. Roasting marshmellows with Grandchildren and with teens.
5. Christmas lights - anytime of year and any place!
6. Sydney's red hair and awesome personality really delights me and knowing it was God's design and delights him as well.
7. Paint - I love paint, it is like a toy to me.
8. Nick telling me I don't look old.
9. Unconditional love of a child.
10.Living in a free country, being free to worship God, anyway, anytime and anywhere.
11. Seeing a very young child spontaneously start swaying when they hear music that touches them.
12. Anyone, anytime sharing a way when God touched their lives, or sharing something they have seen of heard that was a revalation of the providence of God.
13. Cooking for a large croud and watching the unencumbered interaction of siblings or teens, and seeing at the end of the day how they resolve differences and go right on loving each other.
14. Seeing Sharla and her Children performing Christmas music.

things that make me happy
1. God
2. knowing that even when I mess up that God is still there
3. Spending time with my family
4. Having date night with my husband
5. hearing my son's prayers
6. when my husband surprises me with flowers or just a surprise outing of some sort.
6 1/2 When he plans the outing!
7. Watching Kyla play sports
8. Seeing the love my children have for God.
9. Watching my daughter being baptized.
10. listening to music ( I love music) Its definately a part of me!
11. Being in the mountains!!(just feels like your closer to God!
12. Sitting around a campfire in the mountains! (roasting marshmellows.
13. Christmas with my whole family
14. Thanksgiving every year with the Howell Family! (it's something I'll never forget.
15. Spending time with my friend RaeNita, which I don't get to do very often.
16. Going to the movies with the girls
17. Going shopping with Kyla or just a girls day out.
18. Having girl talks with Kyla

21. listening to the stories Dylan has to tell. (he has alot of them)

23.Fixing a meal for alot of people. ( even though sometimes it's stressful getting everything done, it's more fun cooking for big groups
24. Riding around in the car with my family or just my kids and listening to music

My list could go on and on, this is just some of the things that make me happy, I know I have probably forgotten a few.
