When I was a child I loved to ride in the pickup with my dad. As we drove down any road or Hyway my dad would wave at every passing vehical. As a young child seeing him doing this, I would ask "who was that?" My dad would reply at times "I don't know who that was." Which would bring the next question from a curious child,"well if you did not know them why did you wave at them?" My dad, being wise answered my question with another question to me "don't you like to speak to people?" I never thought of waving to someone as speaking to them, i will never forget these wise words from my dad.
My son Dylan, reminds me more and more of my dad. He love's horses and cattle and he has never meet a stranger, just like my dad. Well today a lady told me that Dylan made her day. She was driving down the street by our office and had been having a very bad day. As she approached the front of our office she saw Dylan standing on the side walk, and he waved really big at her. She said "I could not help but smile, it was the first time I smiled all day long."
It is amazing what effect we can have on people, just by our actions and attitudes. Something as simple as a wave can make someones day brighter. So as you go through your day, speak to someone through a wave!

Dylan helped make my day better today, by working like a little turk, helping move tables and chairs in the fellowship hall.
Thanks, to ya Dylan.
Matt, I enjoy the blog.---Vicki
Vicki,
thanks for the comment. Dylan loves to help anytime he can. He loves to go with me now on Sunday mornings early. He wants to go early so he can help his teacher get the class ready.
