I am now going to do most of my blogging at night now. We finally got our computer going at our house. Ever since we moved we have been kinda in limb0, and everything that i have been doing i have been having to do on my computer at the office. As I sit here tonight there are lots of thoughts going through my head, so i hope that I do not ramble this post. I want all of you to know that Cheryl and I are really excited about being your youth ministers. We will do our best to give to you what you need and help us all to grow closer to each other and closer to God. I was watching MSNBC last night and saw something that got me to thinking. It was about a minister that changed his whole outlook on the Gospel of Christ. He decided that the Bible was not to be taken literally, and that there was really no Hell. He now believes that we are all, at one time or another living in some type of Hell, here on earth, and after we die we all go to Heaven. The main thing here is that he is misleading a lot of people, because he is really beginning to have a large following.
I tell you all of this, because it got me to thinking about our new ministry. I realize the HUGE responsibility that I have. I have to make sure that I direct our youth group in the right direction. I ask each of you and anyone else that reads this to please pray for us, we feel that we are up to the task, or we would not have taken this on, but we still need all of you to pray for us on a daily basis. I believe that with God's help,we can and will succeed together. So i ask for your prayers, pray that we will lead our group to where God wants us to go, and i believe that is to be closer to him and strengthen our relationship with him. We care deeply for each of you, and you all encourage me so much and I thank you for that.
Congratulations to our band members that got first place at the competition on Saturday. Also Lori got a special award, so congratulations to her as well. Kyla and Kristen will play volleyball in Dimmitt today (Monday), so good luck to them. We all had a good time today (Sunday), going to the nursing home and then watching a movie and just hanging out. Thanks to all of you that attended church tonight, i am proud of you, and proud of the way you acted, thanks.
There have been some of you having some problems making comments on the blog, so we had a hands on lesson today. Remember to post the verse each day, and thanks to all of you that have been doing that. Kati posted this week so we will get her something for Wed. night. Hope all of you have a great week and remember, "Dare to be Different"
