First Volleyball game; My sons example; 9/11

It's over!! We survived our first Jr. High volleyball game. For several weeks now there has been a volleyball being bounced off of every wall in our house, getting ready for the first volleyball game. It has come and gone. We played well for our first game. We did not get to see Kristen play, she played at the same time that Kyla did in another gym, by the time we got over there her game was over. Sorry Kristen we will try to make it next week. The outcome of our game was we won one game and lost two. I am not a big fan of volleyball, i am more of a basketball and football fan, but i enjoyed watching my daughter give it her all, and i am proud of her. We play Dimmitt next Monday and then we go to Childress, hmmm wonder who we could go see in Childress?
This is our son, he loves to ride his bike, he also has a electric dirt bike that he loves to ride. My son really loves God and Jesus, he talks about them all the time. He is really a good example for me. I know that sounds backwards but he really is. He has had some trouble at school, not anything real serious, well it's been serious to him. We told him that we needed to pray for his problem. We went to the school, with out him knowing and talked to the principle about his problem and i think that the principle took care of it. The other day i asked Dylan how it was going at school and asked him about his problem, he said it was much better, and then he said the words that touched my heart, he said "Yep God is taking care of me!"
I am going to adopt this phrase. When i look at my life and where i am at now, it amazes me. The things that have happened to me and the opportunities that have been given me, the family that i have, the church that i attend, the youth group that i am involved in, the friends that i have and how they encourage me, MY SALVATION all that i can say is "Yep God is taking care of me!"
Today is 9/11. We need to all remember the families that lost loved ones on this date, i pray for comfort for them. We also should remember our soldiers that are away from their family's fighting for our freedom, I pray for safety for them today and for peace. We also need to remember our country and our President, I pray for wisdom and guidance for him and for the rest of our leaders.
I just remembered something that happened in our church not long after 9/11 that really touched me and that i will never forget. About a week or so after 9/11 a man got in front of our church and prayed, he prayed for many things, then he prayed for God to be with Osama Bin Lauden, for God to forgive him and for God to change his heart. Wow!! So i pray today that Osama's heart would be changed, and i pray that leaders of other counties would come to know God, and their hearts would be changed as well. I hope that everyone has a great day!!

Tulia youth group, don't forget the daily Bible verse that i am leaving you each day in the upper left hand corner. I am not giving you all the verse because i want you to get your Bible out and look up the rest of it and then post it on the blog. We will have some surprises for those who look it up and post it. We will talk more about it Wednesday night.
